Ebony & Ivory

One of my favorite things about living in the East is that my children are exposed to other cultures and different kinds of people.
We were recently shopping at a new discount store in town and they had a toy aisle with tons of toys really cheap. I told the girls they could each pick one toy. They both immediately spotted a package of Princess Barbie dolls. It was 3 Barbies for $5. So Jacob and I agreed that they could each have a package. We now own 6 new princess Barbies.
My favorite thing about this story is that my girls did not notice the color of their skin.
What a sweet lesson.
They are so proud of their beautiful dolls and I am so proud of them!
